koi carp buying trips
to Niigata, Japan
Konnichi Wa
(Hello)
For the experience of a lifetime you could join our
little group of regulars, I say regulars because after one trip
with Koi Plus you will want to become a regular koi hunter, on
our buying trips.
All you need to do is let us book your flight and hotel usually
the "Grand" in Nagaoka and then just join in and hunt
koi carp.
Remember Koi Plus
don't use the service of a guide so when you find the koi
of your dreams you will enjoy the experience of making your
own deal with the koi farmer "with a little help if needed".
Apart from visiting all the well known
koi breeders where many a bargain can be made, don't forget
there are approximatly 400 koi breeders in the mountains of
Niigata.
Our excitement begins as we board the aircraft on
the long journey to Japan which takes some 13 hours before we
land at Narita airport, after customs we board the Narita express
for a 1 hour journey to Tokyo station to exchange onto the bullet
train which takes approximately 1 3/4 hours before we arrive
at Nagaoka, our base in the Grand Hotel.
We are now so excited that within 1 hour and being early afternoon
we are out of the hotel into the vehicle waiting outside for
us and on to the mountains which are only 30 minutes away.
That first afternoon gives the understanding of why we traveled
so far, the breathtaking scenery with every bend in the road
there's a new view with little villages and mud ponds upon mud
ponds down the hillside like giant stepping stones, by the way
there's koi as well.
Upon returning to our hotel after settling our new purchases
(koi) in there holding pond most evenings are spent in Nomole's
where we have a pleasant time eating anything from Japanese or
English food e.g. fried chicken, stew, rice, curry, pasta, kebabs
anything, if Nomole hasn't got it he will get it. Oh - we might
have a drink as well.
Just imagine the excitement of being in the mountains in Japan
at its best koi and more koi, mud ponds after mud ponds, the
mountain scenery, the most friendly hospitable people you could
wish to meet, the sake and more sake and the green tea.
And don't forget, no guide, but we'll look after you.
By the way we don't sponsor your trip of a lifetime but why
should anyone do that.
dewa sono uchi ni - (see you some time).
